SPAN, the Student Project for Amity among Nations, is Minnesota’s longest-running research and travel abroad program. SPAN offers undergraduates from all Minnesota colleges and universities an opportunity to conduct independent research on a self-chosen topic, while immersing themselves in a culture different from their own.
SPANners return from London, England
SPAN, the Student Project for Amity among Nations, sent undergraduate researchers to London, England in the summer of 2022. It was a summertime visit to London like no other with celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, the downfall of Boris Johnson, and in late July, record-setting heat. While in London, SPANners, as they are called, were based at the University of Roehampton. Recruitment for next summer in London 2023 is currently underway.
